Black & White collection
When I started the first doodle—while not paying attention in a tenth-grade class—I never thought it would become a project that would span more than five years. I was just drawing whatever I liked at the time and whatever random thought entered my mind.
This Black & White collection became more of a visual diary: the evolution of my interests, knowledge, style and even way of thinking all within collages of doodles.
The pictures in the first piece are fragmented, like the way a bored teenager processes thoughts; they are all distinctive. With at least a year between each one, the imagery and different elements progressively become more fluid and whole as I illustrated more. Eventually, the images became abstract and blended together as a single narrative in my last piece.
The project is still ongoing, as my art and interests change, and will continue to serve as my own case study.
